With a $9.26 million investment, Indian Sewtech Fashion Limited has signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) to build a readymade garments manufacturing factory in the Chittagong EPZ. Sewtech Fashion Limited is a subsidiary of Shahi Exports, India’s largest garment producer. This foreign-owned enterprise will create 3.36 million tops every year, creating employment opportunities for 3,393 Bangladeshi citizens.
