Team Atlas is the first team to win a gold medal from ISIF in Bangladesh’s history

Team Atlas, a rover team of Bangladesh which has been working on various projects about robotics, has bagged a gold medal at the International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) 2022.

Team Atlas is the first team to win a gold medal in the history of Bangladesh from ISIF, according to information shared in its facebook page on Friday.

The team won the medal in the Technology Category (University) for their project named “Fremo – A Farming Robot”.

This ISIF Gold Medal-winning team consisted of Brac university students Sunny Jubayer as team leader and Mir Tanzid Ahmed as administrator.

The other members are Mir Sajid Hasan and Mahtab Newaj of North South University, MD Khandakar Maruf Bin Islam from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet), Fahim Shahriar from Dhaka University, MD Tanjir Arafat of BAF Shahin College and Jannatul Ferdous Fabin of Brac University.

The result was announced at the prize-giving ceremony held on Friday at the University of Pendidikan Ganesha in Bali.

This year, a total of 614 teams from 32 countries have participated in this competition. The five-day competition is being held in Bali, Indonesia. It will end on Saturday.

ISIF is annually organized by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA).
